Its not rocket science. It as basic as office admin can get, yet many people are challenged in it. What do i mean? Filing a.k.a record keeping. Perhaps its because most people don’t really like filing so they keep papers to be filed in one big tray, hoping they will get more time to do it later on, and then when its piled too high they decide they need to start the actual filing get get a clear tray again. Well obviously if you wait a couple of weeks to do filing then for sure it will become a horrible chore.
It takes probably 2 seconds to file a document that you are done with right when you are done with it. The longer you wait to do your filing, the more you dred doing it. Its logic, you are not looking forwad to it, you proscrastinated it in the first place so in the end you dont pay too much attention to how you are doing it, so long as those papers move from your tray to the file.
Record keeping for procurement is crucial. It needs to follow a sequence, ensuring all documentation is in place for the full procurement process, right from when the ned was realised, right up to the contract signing. It should be able to tell a story even without you askign questions.
Uuurrgh paperwork, eh?
