I registered to do my CIPS, in July this year. Because i travel so much for work i realised that i could register for self study and not for a class at a local College. As much as i would prefer to be in a class which would offer me more motivation to get my studies done! You know, hoovering lecturer every here and there, sends motivation in the right direction.
I had also thought i would manage to at least do one exam this coming November, which i missed the deadline registration was not in the country before i even realised. My intention was to push myself to study and get one exame out of the way n November, that soon became a rumor as i had only read 3 chapters of the negotiations book.
I have now decided to start with the effective negotiation for purchasing and supply as well as measuring purchasing performance. I want to do these exams in the next sitting which is March or July. Then the remaining three to be done by November 2012, that’s the plan.
Now it may sound like i have a good amount of time which i do, though it shall require discipline. This is actually one of the hardest challenges i have taken on, so now i will share my every battle, struggle and highlight as i look forward to finishing this course in 1 year. Drop tips here, shall be appreciated!
Luckily there are tonnes of helpful resources online including past papers, with comments from examiners, so it is going to be an interesting experience!
Lessons on CIPS to date:
